Katy Schutte is one of the UK's top improvisational comedians.  She performs and teaches improv comedy, specialising in long form.  She is a Funny Women finalist and winner of the Brighton Festival Fringe Best Comedy Show award.  She was the England coach for the Match Improvvisazione Teatrale in Italy this year, taking England to the world semi-finals.

Katy has been one of the Maydays for 7 years, she performes with Fluxx and Rideout, improvised musicals with Music Box for 2 years and is half of the 5-star two woman long form show Katy and Rach.  Katy studied improv at Second City and iO Chicago and has had the pleasure of learning from some of the world's finest improvisers. She coaches long-form teams and leads public workshops in England and beyond. 

Katy spent several years performing and writing with BAFTA nominated sketch satire company the Treason Show.  Last year she spent her first season writing and acting with Fringe First winner and Perrier nominee NewsRevue at the Canal Cafe Theatre.

Katy recently storylined and directed four improvised film shorts with Back to the Feature as well as starring in a series of Katy and Rach webisodes for Jibba Jabba.  She has just finished directing and performing in a run of Silly String Theory, her improvised play with songs at Canal Cafe Theatre.

Katy is currently helping to create a second show for Fringe First winner Laura Mugridge.
